Mauricio Milano in +Management: Artificial Intelligence and employment in Uruguay

Last Wednesday, September 25th, as part of the +Management series organized by the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies (CUTI), Mauricio Milano, Editor-in-Chief of Advice's Labor Monitor, gave the talk “Artificial Intelligence and employment in Uruguay: how the most disruptive technological macro-trend of our era is transforming the labor landscape.”.

In his presentation, updated data from Advice's Labor Monitor were shared, which allowed for a radiography of talent demand in Uruguay and showed how Artificial Intelligence is already influencing the profiles required by employers.

The report showed strong growth in demand for Data Science and AI specialists, with peaks of up to 500% in the last two years. While 2023 was marked by a “launch race” of new AI models and volatile demand, 2024 and 2025 consolidated a scenario of sustained integration of these technologies into work tools, which drove more stable and higher-volume demand.

We thank CUTI for the invitation and the space to share this vision about the future of work in Uruguay.
