Mauricio Milano at the “The trade has a future” conversation held by Talleres Don Bosco

On October 7, Advice participated in the “The trade has a future” discussion, organized by Talleres Don Bosco, an initiative aimed at bringing information and perspectives on vocational training and its connection with the world of work closer to young people.

On behalf of Advice, Mauricio Milano, Editor-in-Chief of the Labor Monitor, shared his perspective on the demand for profiles related to trades in Uruguay, based on information gathered by the Labor Monitor of Advice.

During the presentation, the place that professions occupy in the labor market, the opportunities they represent for the labor insertion of young people, and the profiles currently sought by companies were discussed. Special emphasis was also placed on the value of completing secondary education and continuing technical training as tools to expand the possibilities of accessing qualified and specialized jobs.

The event allowed young people to learn more about the world of work and to see how training in a trade, the development of practical skills, and specialization can open up new opportunities throughout their working careers. We thank Talleres Don Bosco for the invitation and for creating these spaces for encounter between education and work, which help more young people make informed decisions about their future educational and professional paths.
