Presenting a new edition of the Labor Monitor, with data updated as of May 2026.
- Monthly Result | Labor demand continues to decrease and will close at 1are semester, with a 6.5% year-over-year decline. May marked the fourth consecutive month of year-over-year decline, confirming a trend of contracting labor demand following the record high in 2025. Since the beginning of this year, nearly 33,000 job openings have been posted, 6% fewer than in January–May of last year.
- Analysis Topic | One labor market, different realities. The low growth of the national economy exposes disparities in the labor market. Lower-skilled jobs bear the cost of low economic dynamism with a significant drop in employment opportunities, while demand for professionals and technicians remains at the 2025 level and demand for more specialized profiles is growing.
